My name is Lawrence Federman and I am delighted that you are taking the time to know more about me. Currently I live and work in Beijing, China and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about Chinese culture, gain valuable business experience working for a Chinese joint venture company and learn to speak, read and write Chinese.
Originally I am from Brooklyn, New York and I have lived outside the U.S. since 1997. New York is a great city and I am lucky to have grown up there. It is truly a melting pot of people from all walks of life and that background has instilled in me an appreciation of all peoples.
Traveling and meeting new people has been a passion of mine ever since I took my first family trip London when I was 12 years old. I can still remember my first cup of English tea with milk and sugar and how good it tasted. Taking the time to listen and learn from people of other nations has made me more open minded and a better person. The world is more interconnected and interdependent than ever so I think it is important to keep up with global current events and be aware of what is happening around us. Enjoying life and having fun are also important to me and I enjoy playing golf, reading and spending time with friends and family.
I think it is important to have a positive attitude because if you think and believe in advance that you are going to have a positive experience, then you have a better chance of having a positive outcome.
